Root & Light (Handcrafted Tea Light Holder)

Gorgeous handcrafted & hand-blown glass Root & Light bases.

Grown in Bali, these root bases are harvested from the Gamal tree.

These trees feed & provide shade to the goats & buffalo on the island.

When the trees naturally die, the root bases are harvested by the local farmers. The farmers then bring these root bases to local glass-blowers where the ocean blue glass is gently placed & burned onto the root base.

It is then dipped into cool water to solidify the glass to the wood, making it an absolutely one-of-a-kind art piece.
